Schedule for Courses

Learners may register for their courses according to the six sessions scheduled yearly. Sessions Per course are two months in length and students may enroll in several sessions. Some Classes are scheduled in the evenings to accommodate the busy schedules of learners.

Levels and Curriculum

We have incorporated a highly efficient six levels of English language Course. Students receive a placement test   on line or with paper and pencil to determine a student’s English level. Students learn to become confident, natural speakers. They continue in their own time. They can evaluate their own progress.

General English Track

General English Courses is offered at six levels. They seek to improve students' English skills in a great variety of settings. Students develop communicative competence for social and work-related environments through interactive activities simulating real-life situations. Targeted Language skills include: listening, fluency development, oral intelligibility, reading, grammar, writing, and vocabulary development.

English for Academic Purpose

EAP courses provide language instruction for academic study in American, British, Canadian and Australian universities. Targeted Language skills include: listening comprehension, fluency development, oral intelligibility, reading, grammar, writing, and vocabulary development. Academic study skills include: test taking and note taking skills, academic vocabulary usage, critical reading and writing, comprehending academic lectures, research and library skills, formal composition forms and development, including research papers.

Business Track

Business Track courses provide language instruction and training in business communication, including business correspondence, negotiations, formal presentations, informal networking, business vocabulary, report and proposal writing, vocabulary for professional purposes, and reading for professional purposes. Language skills addressed include: listening, fluency development, oral intelligibility, reading, grammar, writing, and vocabulary development.

English for Special Purposes (ESP)

ESP courses seek to fulfill the needs of professionals who use English in their specific fields, such as science, technology, medicine, sports, leisure, and tourism. ESP Language skills addressed include: listening, fluency development, oral intelligibility, reading, grammar, writing, and vocabulary development. Special activities and travel support classroom study

Learners can speak, listen and engage in a real life learning situation in our highly equipped learning areas. Each session provides students with 24+ hours of instruction in the classroom, in our laboratories, and in private tutoring meetings.

Tutoring

The student and tutor collaborate together to devise an instructional plan which may include support with class assignments, work on individual problems or conversation skills practice.

KNOWLEDGE and LEARNING CENTRE (KLC):

Our dedication to enhance language skills and provide on going learning opportunities to all learners from different categories creates the foundation of KLC with all its available resources for all learners

Self-Access Learning Center (SALC):

The SALC supports classroom instruction via integration of technology. In the SALC Learners have an access to computers, reading materials, captioned television programs, tape/CD and video recorders and programs guided assistance from the SALC coordinator . Learners can use email, the Internet, specialized ESL software programs and interactive on-line language games which teach pronunciation, grammar, reading, writing and listening skills. Programs for TOEFL, GMAT and GRE practice are also available. Working hours are five days a week and 3 to 5 hours per dat.

Listening Laboratory (L LAB.):

The listening lab provides learners additional practice with listening comprehension and vocabulary acquisition by having access to various audio and video materials. Working hours are five days a week and 3 to 5 hours a day.
